L.A. Baby!

Thursday 11th December marked my first ever trip to Los Angeles, California. I was so excited and it did not disappoint, it was a FANTASTIC time!!!

For a lot of brits (and I’m sure many other places, LA is a bucket list place to visit with things like the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills and the epic houses in that area, Rodeo drive (if you’re shopping and handbag fanatic like I am haha), lots of movie and music studios and the famous Walk of Fame on Hollywood Blvd.

I was lucky enough to be asked to perform at a Christmas party in Hollywood for OBB media on Sat 13th. It was a set performed alongside another DJ to entertain some of the guest invited by OBB media to celebrate with them. There were some big names there which was pretty surreal and you know what, everyone was friendly and having a great time.

As we approach the end of 2025, I want to take the chance to reflect a bit on this year and this was such a great way to close out the year. This time last year i had just hit 1 million followers on TikTok and was blown away by the love in the community, i didn’t expect anyone to watch the videos, let alone 1 million people following along. Fast forward a year and the TikTok has just hit 3m, Instagram is 1.3m, Facebook 440k and YouTube is new and growing at 7.1k. I know it’s cheesy but i can’t thank you all enough for supporting the channels. My life has changed from marking college work for my students on a Saturday night, to queuing for the toilet with Hailey Bieber, which is so surreal and bizarre but I’m loving it.

Anyway back to the LA trip, me and my team took the trip and it felt like a great opportunity to combine the OBB media gig with a team Christmas party and some activities. We landed late night so it was a matter of getting to the hotel, checking in and getting some sleep as the next morning was very early. We were up early to get to Disneyland California for opening time at 8am. We were all so excited for it and wanted to pack in as many rides as possible across the 2 parks including The Incredi-coaster, log flume, Space mountain, Big thunder mountain and the new Cars Land ride (which was my favourite). A quick note on the log flume though, it took us all by complete surprise how big the drop was and we got absolutely soaked but we had such a laugh on that ride, luckily it was 23 degrees so we dried out fairly quickly. I managed the full day until they kicked us out at 11pm, walking 13 miles in the process!

Saturday morning we had booked an LA bus tour. This was a good snapshot of some of the things to do around LA, if anyone is going to LA i would recommend doing this early in your trip as it will give you an idea of some of the other things to see in LA and what other activities you’d like to book. Our trip stopped at Beverly Hills for a walk around Rodeo Drive and the nearby park, the park had a sculpture of Ringo Starr’s hand in it which was nice as The Beatles are from Liverpool which is only about an hour from where i live. We then went on to Santa Monica beach to walk on the 2 piers and see the original muscle beach, the to The Grove and Farmer’s Market (Magee’s made one of the best Club sandwiches i’ve ever had) and then finally Griffiths Observatory which was such an incredible place and what a view from the top.

Saturday evening was the OBB media gig, and while I don’t want to say too much as it’s not really my place to do so, I loved every minute of it. A special mention to Michael (you know who you are), thank you so much for the invite and your hospitality and friendship, hope to see you again soon.

Sunday we had book tickets to watch LA Rams at the SoFi stadium. I may not surprise you to hear that I've never seen an American Football game haha. Despite that, I’m am now a life long fan i think, it was a good win and the atmosphere in the stadium was spine tingling, what an experience, i didn’t really understand what was happening but my team attempted to talk me through it and tell me they played well and won haha. Go Rams!!!

Monday was the flight back to the UK, but I had time for a celebrity house tour in the morning before heading to the airport. Some incredible looking houses and we normal people can but dream eh. A few of the houses belonged to Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo Di Caprio, Jack Black, Jennifer Lopez and many more. Sadly we didn’t see any of them putting the bins out on our way round haha.

The flight home is not normally an event and we were a tired team on the way back to be honest, but spirits were lifted slightly by Christmas dinner being served for the in-flight meal.

LA, you were amazing and I hope to be back again soon. Without labouring the point, none of this is possible without everyone that watches the videos, attends the events and supports me by buying some of the merchandise and I am so very grateful.
